Thank You to everyone who attended the Wings & Wheels 2017 event. The estimated crowd of over 12,000 was amazing...and much bigger than was planned for!
We are keenly aware of the problem we had exiting all of the spectators at the end of the show and apologize to everyone who had to wait in the hot sun for far too long. Rest assured we'll have a better plan for next time...and many more Port-a-Potties!
Thanks again, and please reach out to us via Email ( pictures at wingsandwheelsairshow dot com) with any pictures or videos you are willing to share with us. We'll post as many to the website as possible!
Congratulations to Jim Henningfield, winner of a ride in a T-6 "Texan" at the 2017 Wings & Wheels. Jim is a retired Navy Veteran who served his country for 21 years. As part of a special contest, Jim's wife Mary Beth entered him to win a flight. Thank you to Jim for his service. Also, thank you to Pepsi for making the ride possible through their sponsorship of the "Veteran Ride." Thank you also to Jim Shotwell, Owner & Pilot of LTA-726 for providing the plane ride.
Founded in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated nearly 25 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane. It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.
We're proud to have 54 kids sign up for their first General Aviation flight through 2017 Wings & Wheels!
Thank you to 1240AM KLYQ for making the Video below of the 2017 Wings & Wheels!
